Pedal to the Metal

I scored an extra brake pedal at the swap meet for $1, so thought I would give it a chop. I riveted and polished afterwards. I dig it. There is so much superfluous meat on pedals, pegs, and the like, they can all use a trim. The pegs are next.

Chain of Fools

FINALLY got around to putting the chain on my 96. Went nice and easy, only took a few hours. Quick and snappy acceleration with the 2.29 ratio. Stoked.

The Electric Peacock

All finished. The tank is from Cleveland Cycle Werks, and is well made. It bolted on in the stock spot without a hitch, and is even set-up to be rubber-mounted.

I painted this tank. It came out better than I expected, and I learned a few things along the way. I am going to clear it tomorrow with that 2K stuff. The tank is all rattle can with the exception of the bubbles and shadows, which I did with my airbrush. I had a lot of fun, and want to do another.

Meeting of Swaps

This weekend. I remember when they had this at the Cow Palace, hopefully the new venue will live up to that legacy. Same place as the AMCA swap/show every June. Stoked.

Chopper Stopper

I finished up this gixxer master cylinder last night. I am waiting on a rebuild kit, then it is going on the evo. I cleaned up all the casting marks and rounded the corners and such. Then I bored it out to 1", and gave it a decent polish. It is sexy small.

The California Highway Patrol seems to think my bike would be safer with turn signals and a mirror. I got the tickets a few months ago, and waited till the last minute to put these hideous parasites on. It's nice because I made it all quick release and externally wired, so I can take it all off in 2 minutes and put it back on in 5. This is the healthy choice for the next time an officer decides to justify his paycheck on my bike's behalf.  I will keep them safely boxed for future use. Now this week I must ride it over to the CHP office, sign it off, go to the courthouse, pay the fine and skirt that bench warrant.

A quick word about not having a mirror. Without a mirror, you can't see the flashing lights behind you  (you also can't hear the siren due to your illegal exhaust). By the time the [motorcycle] cop gets up beside you, he is pretty pissed. Chill out, it's going to hurt a bit.

Respect only goes so far.

I trimmed my sprocket cover this weekend. Nice and mellow, I didn't go overboard. I think it complements my cam cover nicely.

I threw these nasty items on ebay, because I need money for candy bars. Old brown leather m/c jacket, and an OG brass Brit cap. Sassy.

Hopefully this will be a 3-dimensional object soon. A black, short-sleeved bundle of Hate.
